Ride / Holiday Ride |
|
The
City of Diamond Bar provides "Diamond Ride,"
a specialized transit service for seniors age 60 and
over and disabled citizens. Diamond Ride provides
curb-to-curb taxicab service, which is perfect for
those short trips to the grocery store, doctor*s office,
pharmacy or shopping centers.
The
Diamond Ride service area includes any destination
within Diamond Bar, plus an area up to Arrow Highway
to the north; Imperial Highway to the south; Central
Avenue to the east; and Hacienda Boulevard to the
west. Trips that begin and end within the city limits
of Diamond Bar cost only .50 cents each way. Trips
to medical facilities extending outside Diamond Bar,
but still within the service area limits, cost only
$1.50 each way. All other trips extending outside
Diamond Bar, but still within the service area limits,
cost only $3.00 each way. All trips must begin or
end in Diamond Bar.
To
obtain a Diamond Ride identification card, or for
more information about this service, contact the City
of Diamond Bar at (909) 839-7045. If you already have
your Diamond Ride identification card and would like
to schedule service, call (800) 578-6555.
Holiday Diamond Ride
Every year, during the holiday season, the Diamond
Ride service becomes "Holiday Diamond Ride"
when the City of Diamond Bar extends its Diamond Ride
door-to-door taxicab service to all residents. What
you'll get is a free ride from your house to a local
shopping center and back! It's so easy! Holiday Diamond
Ride is provided as a special holiday transit service
for Diamond Bar residents, and is not available to
the general public.
